"Cleo" from Brooke Sheehan - Brisbane - Australia. Cleo always ruled the house, just as you would expect a cat to. However, she was most distressed when we introduced a new family member to the house, a puppy! She would hide for hours and was much less affectionate. We then tried a Feliway diffuser in the house to help her feel more safe and relaxed. Within no time she stopped hiding and was interacting with us again. Although she still avoids the puppy, she has stopped hiding, is affectionate again and seems much happier.
I have been a veterinary nurse for 10 years and find Feliway to be a FANTASTIC product! My cat 'Clive' battles with mild anxiety, is easily stressed by the smallest change and as a result, inappropriately urinates where he sees fit!I will often come home to find him sitting right next to the feliway plug and he is clearly a much happier cat.The Feliway diffuser made a noticeable difference within a few days, and I refuse to live without it now.
"Smudge" from Liz Caldwell - Sydney - Australia. Over the last couple of years Smudge, now 18, seemed to have problems when family members went on holidays or if her home environment changed in any way. Not only did she seem to lose weight and seem distant, but far worse there was blood found in her faeces.
Our 3 daughters of 11, 9 and 6 really wanted to have a cat. So, we adopted a female kitten. She's now 4 months old.
I have a 6 year old castrated male Burmese. He is a lovely cat but has always hated travelling by car, even for short distances. After only a few minutes he would start to salivate, vomit, urinate and often have diarrhoea.
We recently moved from an old, smelly apartment to a new home. I was afraid our cat Mickey would continue to spray in our new home and did not want to deal with those horrible odors anymore.
I just wanted to let you know how marvellous I think Feliway is! I've had my 8 year old cat Snowball (named after the cat in The Simpsons!) since she was an 8 week old kitten and I got her from the Cats Protection League. She has always been a bad-tempered and angry cat from when she was tiny (work colleagues used to marvel at the depth and severity of the bites and scratches she would inflict on me!).
I have 4 cats, 3 Persians (1 Blue point, 2 Blue cream Persians) and 1 fluffy one. I had 5 but I had one put to sleep a few weeks ago. I had a problem in general with the Persians marking with urine and faeces almost every day, typically weeing on my couch and just outside the litter tray.
