Clean all identified scratched area (with warm water) to remove the scent marks left by your cat(s).
Provide a scratching post (tall enough and sturdy), near to where your cat sleeps, near a window or a radiator if it includes a platform, or near the already scratched areas. Provide at least 1 per cat if you have several cats.
Apply FELISCRATCH by FELIWAY® on it as recommended: 1 pipette daily for the first week (7 days) and then 1 pipette at the beginning of week 3 and 1 pipette at the beginning of week 4 to encourage the cat to use it (clinically proven).
If no improvement is seen after 2 weeks, in addition to FELISCRATCH by FELIWAY®, apply FELIWAY® CLASSIC Spray on the unwanted scratched areas after cleaning them, to prevent the cat from re-marking (Never spray FELIWAY® CLASSIC on the scratching post as it would prevent the cat from using it!).
Repeat spray application daily on these areas, and continue to apply FELISCRATCH by FELIWAY® on the post, until resolution of the scratching behaviour.
For further support plug in a FELIWAY® CLASSIC Diffuser where your cat spends most of its time, especially if there are many affected areas, to reinforce your cat's feeling of security.
