We have two 9 month old kittens that are sisters. Their names are Quinn and Kit. They have never been apart and because they got along so well, they needed to be adopted together. After 6 months, a stray cat we feed was looking in our storm door and one of the kittens, Quinn, became very agitated and was throwing herself at the door. After the door was closed and she could no longer see the other cat, she turned her aggression towards her sister. It was awful. Kit was hiding in the basement afraid to come upstairs.
