1

Clean all urine marks

  • With warm water and soap or alcohol

  • Clinically proven to stop urine spraying
  • Improvement may be seen within the first week
  • Continued use for at least one month is recommended
3

Follow litter box “golden rules”

  • One per cat, plus one extra
  • Easy to access
  • Away from food and water
  • Always clean: Scooped daily and cleaned at least weekly
4

Check cat’s health

  • In some cases, underlying medical conditions can cause cats to toilet outside the litter box
  • Always check with your vet to rule out any underlying medical conditions

We recommend:

FELIWAY Diffuser

If urine spraying occurs in multiple areas, plug the Diffuser in the room where the cat spends most of its time

FELIWAY Spray

If urine spraying occurs in one single area, spray here once daily

Why do cats spray?

All cats, male or female, neutered or not, will mark out their territory with urine spraying. Normally this is rare and discrete. But sometimes urine spraying becomes visible and very annoying: it has even been known for cats to spray their owner's bed or duvet!
This means that the cat may be stressed or anxious.

It can be a reaction to:

  • Recent changes at home:
    • New home, new furniture, renovations
    • New cat, new dog or other pets
    • New family member

  • Conflict with other cats:
    • Competition for food or water bowls
    • Competition for sharing a litter box and territorial disputes

Spraying can also be caused by medical issues. If your cat sprays indoors, consult your vet.

Older cats in particular need regular vet check ups.

Using FELIWAY is clinically proven to stop urine spraying indoors.

Using FELIWAY Diffuser continuously will help prevent any relapse in spraying. Especially if your cat seems sensitive to any changes in your home.
